Grammy Glam!

Artistry, Beauty, Makeup

January 29, 2020

We are still in awe of the flawless hair and makeup on the red carpet this past Sunday at the Grammy’s. We were so excited to see stars take daring risks with their look to wow, sparkle, and set new trends. It seems like 2020 is going to be a year for never before seen beauty looks. We picked out our favorite makeup and hairstyles from the Grammy’s with a couple tips on how you can recreate the look!

Dua Lipa in a sultry blue smokey eye! To recreate this look, place makeup tape on an angle above your cheekbone and sweep a cool blue shadow along your eyelid and blend, blend, blend on your brow bone. With a smaller brush, choose an icy white pigment for the inner corner of your eye and blend into the blue shadow. Sweep under your lower lashes, and complete the look with plenty of mascara! The rest of your makeup should remain neutral.

Who doesn’t love the classic Ariana Grande ponytail and winged liner combo? For a lot of volume without a lot of hair, gather your hair in a high pony and smooth down any flyaways with hairspray. Then, add in a ponytail extension and brush out the entire look for that sleek finish. Wrap the base of the ponytail with a piece from the extension and pin underneath.

Pretty in pearls! Nikita Dragun took this mermaid-esque to the next level by adhering pearls as an accent to her makeup! Time to play with some white liquid eyeliner! Create a classic wing and then carefully line the top of your eyeliner with the white liquid eyeliner to replicate this look. Add some adhesive faux pearls for that extra pop!

We always love a bold lip! Sophie Turner stunned us with one of our favorite trends of 2020: the purple lip. When applying a deep color, always use a lipliner in the same shade to outline your lips before applying your product. You can also use a liquid lipstick for a long-lasting look. We love Fenty’s Stunna Lip Paint in Undefeated.

What were your favorite looks from the Grammy’s? What do you think will be setting trends this year? Tell us in the comments below! Stay tuned for our coverage next month of the Oscars!
